What did it for me was finding an activity I really enjoy. I grew up swimming, so was always super active. Swam all through college and after graduation, got a job in a big city in advertising. Corporate lunches, after work drinks and dinner. It took me wayyy too long to realize my swimmer metabolism was gone, but it was too late. Packed on the Boston Celtics American professional basketball team based in Boston Kristaps Porzingis 8 T-Shirt moreover I love this pounds. I tried working out in our crappy apartment workout room. Tried running. Disliked all of it. I eventually moved to Colorado and found rock climbing. Been hooked ever since. It doesn’t feel like a workout. I also found skiing. Again, doesn’t feel like a workout. After almost a decade of being obsessed with both, I will admit, I do workouts that don’t involve skiing or climbing, but help me improve my skiing and climbing and there’s where my motivation comes from. I want to be better at this thing, so I’m willing to endure some boring workouts (while also doing the main activity as well).

So that’s my advice. Find something that gets you moving that doesn’t feel like a workout, or that you’re really stoked about. My entire work out is about me being able to pull myself up off a clif, lift my 700lbs adv bike up, be able to get to a summit and back without feeling like I’m about to die. I eat whatever I want, which is weird because I no longer want to snack on shitty food or eat too much sugar. I started running just two years ago. I’m at about 1200 miles so far this year. I still got a bit of a gut, still got love handles. But looking good is not the Boston Celtics American professional basketball team based in Boston Kristaps Porzingis 8 T-Shirt moreover I love this primary focus of this process. This is about feeling like I did something, knowing that I pushed myself even though everything in me wants to stop and be comfortable. It’s going to get cold and rainy soon, to me that’s just a call to go exploring.
