I’m not very maternal, partner has mental illness which wouldn’t be compatible with kids. How will I spend my time? Doing whatever I want! I go to work and on my days off I go riding, spend time with my chickens and go on days out. Very happy with this. I have lots of nieces and nephews I can spend time with if I like as well.

I grew up in poverty and definitely don’t want to go back into it. And my family is dysfunctional so bringing a new life into this family won’t end well. fucked up genetics : schizophrenia and depression (and who knows maybe more). gotta stop this shit from spreading. I dislike spending time with small children, don’t want to be pregnant or give birth, and don’t want go be the primary parent. Pretty simple I guess Oh,just travel around,eat out,buy things when I want,Sleep when and as long as I want.Get a cat or two.Stuff like that. I dont want kids so i can avoid a charge of child neglect. I can barely take care of myself, let alone a child that needs constant attention and care. My reason why is that I just don’t want to. It sounds silly and superficial but like, I also didn’t go to med school or law school because I didn’t want to. I didn’t ever try skydiving because I don’t want to. As for how I’ll spend my time – tbh, my problem is not having enough time, don’t ask me how parents manage! I work reasonable hours in a job I love. I have dogs. I grow my own food. I do a lot of art. I participate in fandoms. I’m also close to my family of origin and they live close by so I spend a lot of time with them. I have great friends I wish I could see more of. I don’t make it to half of the exhibitions and gigs and tours and comedy shows and breweries and trivia nights that I should but I get to some! And I’m on Reddit way too much… Tbh idk. It’s kinda though shit. Me and my so of 10+ years always wanted one or two. But we are postponing that for some time too. And there are reasons. Most mentioned already in this topic. And new are coming since we are postponing long enough. Ehh.
