Same with my mother. She was in an accident and got a traumatic brain injury. After a couple months she didn’t “heal” fast enough. Let her go after 15 years. Fuck Pepsi. Oh hey, my dad worked for them for several years. They fired him for having a heart attack on the Boo Boo Crew Ghost Doctor Paramedic Emt Nurse Halloween T-Shirt and I love this job. That was after harassing the fuck out of him for years causing several health issues. When Sears was going under and got bought up I knew of a bunch of managers close to retirement at Sears and Kmart that were fired to avoid them getting their retirement benefits. I also knew one that was kept and two years before retirement they fired him for the same. This doesn’t surprise me at all that it could happen. Maybe not to this guy’s dad specifically (cause I get that people just make shit up on the internet especially Twitter) but this story isn’t unique or original.

You think companies give a single fuck about employees? Most big companies treat people like a asset to be bought and sold. If your costing them money no amount of “family culture” is going to matter. I don’t care if my company gives a fuck about me because I don’t give a fuck about them. I’ve never once gone in to work a shift for free out of generosity. As long as they pay me for my agreed upon salary I’m good. You can chose to live in ignorance if you’d like. There are thousands of documented cases of this yet you chose to ignore it. Imagine, an outside world beyond your basement that isn’t a void where the Boo Boo Crew Ghost Doctor Paramedic Emt Nurse Halloween T-Shirt and I love this pee jars go and the tendies come from. That you could someday visit given a winch and a sufficently large team of Oompah-Loompahs. (Which we would be against cause they shouldn’t have to deal with that).
