One of my instructors for my electrical program was lifelong Local 3 in Manhattan. According to him, if a job site was caught using scabs they would break into the Bones or The Dark Lord Shirt besides I will buy this place and destroy every single piece of installed equipment and any tools left around. That’s the kind of energy the labor movement needs these days. If capitalists don’t wanna respect labor we need to make them by talking in the only terms they understand – money. Northwest Indiana and there’s a business that frequently has scabby parked out front of it here. Right next to the huge “Trump 2020” sign the business refuses to take down. Agreed, and I can’t wait to see him in front of the capitol building in Springfield if they won’t let legislative staff unionize.

In NYC there are two large unions that cover corporate movers. If you hire a shop that’s staffed by one union the Bones or The Dark Lord Shirt besides I will buy this other one will picket you, and vice versa. I worked in a building that was moved by Teamsters local 814 and the other union brought Scabby the Rat outside the building for a week during the move. Sounds pretty union-like. There was one union in California a couple years where their own office employees went on strike due to bad working conditions. Police unions seem like the most effective unions in the country given their pull and ability to protect it’s members from consequences It means that Police, as an institution, have long been the boot on the neck of workers fighting for their rights, and for them to swoop in afterwards to reap the benefits of a union after wilfully being used as a tool for the capitalist class to punch down on the people that fought to make unions strong is an insult to the memory of every striking worker cops have murdered over the years.
