Our youngest was a micropreemie with a lot of issues. He was intubated for weeks at birth and had a feeding tube for months/was NPO, and has always struggled with eating/food. He had always had sensory issues (SPD), he has an extremely high and narrow palate, making it difficult for him to chew and move food around in his mouth. He also has low tone and muscle weakness, (cerebral palsy but they don’t like to diagnose this anymore so they stopped calling it this) so that further complicates things for him. Anyway, he does his best for what he’s working with, and we will get him all of the Blue Ribbon Survivor Fighter Osteogenesis Imperfecta Awareness T-Shirt Besides,I will do this therapy and help that is available. Things we do that seem to help get and keep them interested in food is in involving them in as much to do with food as we can.

We grow food, we go to farmer’s markets, we meal plan, we have taken cooking classes as a family, and my husband and I have taken them separately and together without the Blue Ribbon Survivor Fighter Osteogenesis Imperfecta Awareness T-Shirt Besides,I will do this kids. We also have had them in the kitchen and cooking/baking/cleaning up since they were born, lol. I don’t think it’s right to force a kid to overeat or anything but, have you ever tried to serve food to a kid? They won’t sit still and eat food, they take one bite then fuck off somewhere if you let them. You have to make them eat sometimes so that they actually get proper energy and nutrition. It mostly comes from the depression era. People had very little or went hungry. You can see older people who were kids then, that are very particular about not wasting food. They passed this onto their kids in the form of not wasting food. They wanted them to finish any food made and not waste it, because they knew the fear of not having food or not having enough.
