They are both by John Oliver. One was from 3 years ago detailing this very prevalent issue: Mobil Homes episode And the Blue Jays Legends Thank You For The MEmories Shirt and I love this other is one he did last weekend about environmental racism, but it’s not really racism (no offense to any eyeballs reading this) it’s actually classism, because a majority of small town America is still mostly white and in those places it happens to anyone who’s poor enough to have to live in a trailer park. They installed that landfill next to OP’s home very much on purpose! : Environmental And structural oppression this is the same as gentrification in the big cities. The rich are using a basic human necessity-housing- as their next new hot investment strategy. buying up all the apartments and houses and land that they can, and then jacking up the price of all of it to make as much $$$ as possible while literally providing zero value to society or the economy. Just leeches sucking on us. Don’t let anybody turn this into a coastal elite vs small town thing, or urban and rural or left and right. They’re doing this to all of us, all around the country. This is just rich mother fuckers being greedy and they’ve crossed the line. Contact a lawyer in your area. Legal Aid in your area would be a good place to start (since trailer park residents tend to be low enough income to qualify- or at least i have never had to turn a trailer park resident away for being over income). At a minimum, you can get a lawyer who knows state law to tell you where to go from there.

At least in my state, trailer park law is really niche. I do LL/tenant work, and that bar is really small. There are only about 5 guys who do owner side trailer park law, tenant side is basically 20 people (who basically all work for non profits) and none specialize in trailer parks (but all know a good amount, but it is only a small fraction of the Blue Jays Legends Thank You For The MEmories Shirt and I love this cases). So make sure you tell them up front it is a trailer park, and do not be shocked if they tell you they need a few days to researh trailer park law. I am a lawyer, but not your lawyer. There is no legal advice here, just advising you to talk to a lawyer. That’s what these corporate Wallstreet business assholes do best. They set up all these “rules” in order to “lawfully” evict people or slowly choke them until they decide to leave themselves. Once everyone is off of “their” land, they’ll remove the homes and replace them with their own shitty mobile homes. They’re uprooting a poor community and then reselling it at a higher premium to the same demographic!
