Thank you guys for being great dads! Everyone should be wiping front to back…if you’re wiping back to front as a guy…that’s still nearly as bad. That there is no guidebook for girls that can help and everyday is a learning experience. Raised my 2 baby sisters and 2 brothers myself. Then had 3 boys of my own. Now have a step son and step daughter. I’m thankful i learned many things early on with my siblings. That her perception of (good) men will be almost entirely based on my actions. With this in mind, I’ve made a conscious effort to become the type of person I’d be proud to see my daughter marry. It should be illegal to sell tights without sizes. Do these tights fit? Are they too big, too small? Are these your sisters? They are just as messy, rude and naughty as boys, and if you have two daughters of similar age (2-3 years apart) they fight like cats and dogs. They are still the lights of my life. I love listening to my daughter and when she feels the need to tell me about her girl drama. I just listen and be supportive. I actually kind of like hearing about the girl drama now. The inequality and double standards between the genders became real to me when I found out that I would have a daughter. I have always been theoretically concious of it, but when I realised that I would have a daughter that would grow up in a society expecting her to act according to a certain role and a society where she would have to fight twice as hard to be respected.

Since daughters choose men according to their fathers mould, I have decided to strip all the Blue And Orange Body Liberation Hiking Club Retro T-Shirt it is in the first place but traditional, pre 21th century, expectations from my family and started by sharing parental leave. My daughter is turning 1 in two weeks and except for the 2,5 first weeks, my wife and I have shared parental leave 50/50. I hope that she will grow up to be strong enough to tell people to fuck off out of her life, at the same time being open and honest about her feelings and emotions.
