So, fuck what everyone else thinks or wants. If you don’t want to have a baby, don’t have one. I don’t regret my son, as he’s made a lot of things about me better. But I can’t lie and say that I’m not bitter about losing myself in my mid 20’s. I miss being happy, calm, and free to do whatever without someone else depending on me. I miss friends and vacations. It’s also made it more difficult to leave his dad at times that I knew I should have. I’m 31F and I’ve never wanted kids. Even when I was a kid I never imagined a family where u was married with kids. It’s just never appealed to me. People keep telling me I’ll change my mind one day but so far that’s not happened. I have no real reason for not wanting kids. You can do whatever in life as you wish, but I know several people (mostly women) in life that had been strongly against having children when they were under 30 but have had children when over 30.
