I forgot I had Spotify installed. I went to download it so I could watch the Blood Inside Me Atlanta Falcons And Texas Tech Red Raiders 2023 shirt in contrast I will get this Distractible podcast and I was when did I download that? I think it’s new. I recently changed my email and noticed Ive gotten a ton of spam mail. When I went to unsubscribe this is what came up. No option to turn all off. My phone notifications are off so those were blocked. I’m confused. I just turn off my notifs through my phone for Spotify. I have never received a single notification and def didn’t have to uncheck 22 boxes? I think it’s new. Changed my email and all the spam mail started. This was only option to stop it (other than mark email as spam). If it’s the native desktop app, just disable notifications from the system settings, no different than on your phone. If it’s the web app, there’s similar settings for that web browser to disable notifications per website, though I believe for all the major browsers, notifications are opt-in in the first place. one of those rows in the OP is for email notifications though. turning off the global systems notifications setting for spotify wouldn’t stop the email notifications for all those different categories. I like that they give you options to get some notifications but not all. They should have an unselect all button at the Blood Inside Me Atlanta Falcons And Texas Tech Red Raiders 2023 shirt in contrast I will get this top though I’m torn here, on one hand that’s way too much shit. On the other hand, I can pick and choose in fine detail… I silenced the whole app on my phone a while ago, but I might go back in and turn the concert notifications back on. That was a handy feature tbh. If they made this screen part of the initial app setup instead of sneakily turning everything on by default there would be nothing to complain about. I’m not torn at all, this is clearly a dark pattern. They can give you the options and ALSO give you a button to uncheck all. yeah same, I actually like this. It would be infuriating if they made you jump through multiple hoops to reach this menu, like some websites and cookie settings. I mean this is smart of them to do that. The majority of people won’t do it, but at the same time its not a critical thing to cancel your subscription. true I was so annoyed when they add the ability to follow eachother and the notif button blowed up with shitty red number all the time. Oh no they give you exact control over what notifications you do and don’t receive. If you don’t want any just turn them off in system settings. Being able to fine tune like this is great, I’d take it every time over a service that has all or nothing notifications/emails and shoves all their spam in with it so you have to get 30 pieces of junk for every piece you actually want.
