I have the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Logo Shirt but in fact I love this attention span of a gnat these days so I think if I were by myself I can make it about 6 hours or so before I need to stop. Friend and I done about 12 hours for a few days in a row, resulting in about 740miles.. its doable and if we wanted to push ourselves we could but this was a save amount we can drive (and stop along the way a few times),( this was also done by one of us, one day me, other time him, or sometimes first 7 him other 7 me, was quite enjoyable this way) I’ve done Columbus Ga to Denver co, it’s about 1500mi 22hrs I don’t recommend it, but it’s doable. I’d get off work at 5pm, take a nap, hit the road around midnight. Take a gas station map around 5am and get back on the road when the sun comes up. Then it’s a hard grind until you get there. I find 800 miles a day much more bearable. Take your time and stop for some good food. Stop at a diner or something. Beats the hell out of mtn dew and jalapeño cheddar Cheetos, but when your in the Army and you only have a 4 day weekend, you can’t waste time at a sit down restaurant I’ve done St. Louis to Denver (right around 850 miles and 12 hours) but that drive is boring and flat as well…. you know. I think there are a number of factors to consider when road tripping for long stretches such as: scenery, company, vehicle comfort, etc. But I would say that milage and time behind the wheel is my sweet spot for most trips.

Totally doable. I do Orlando FL to Wichita Falls TX on the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Logo Shirt but in fact I love this regular. 1200 miles, 19 hours. I pour myself into the hotel, sleep for 6 hours, shower, and continue the last 8 hours of my trip. 1000 miles sounds like an easy drive. Im getting a little too old for 1000 mile days. Used to bang that out regularly as a “big” day. Now I can do it, but the next day suffers. An interesting thing is that while I don’t do the big days anymore, anything under 4 hours feels trivial as I age. I did Beaumont, TX to SWFL (1,150 miles) straight by myself while towing a boat. It was between hurricanes Harvey and Irma while working storm relief/prep. Took almost 20hr due to road closures. I never stopped at a gas station as I had a 250gal diesel tank on my flatbed. Lots of MONSTER, chew and beef jerky. The last leg from Tampa was fairly sketchy. Lol If I do two of those back-to-back, then I like to have a day or two of rest. We just hit 10,000 miles since we hit the road back at the end of May, and we’ve tried to have a good balance of heavy driving followed by a few days or even a week in a given area.
