It just makes me want to scream and run away and I can’t explain it. That and snot and poop and any bodily fluid. Is this shallow? Idk I’ve never had mothering instincts towards anything other than animals I could never afford to give them an upbringing like my own and I don’t want my potential kids to have less than I did. I went to an all-girls private middle school and high school, which at the time my parents could afford. Today, salaries have hardly gone up from what my parents made, but that same school now costs $44,000 per year – over 6 times more than what it cost when I went there. Attending that school opened up opportunities for me to attend the college I did, earn scholarships, exposed me high level thought, etc. I could never afford to send a kid to the college I went to either, with today’s tuition. And when I was young we didn’t need a gazillion extracurriculars, we just did activities we actually enjoyed (for me, ballet and piano). Having a kid is impossible for me to afford and even if I could they would have a worse life than I did.

Also, school shooters. I’d be terrified every day of my life sending my kid to school. Between school shooters, the Black panther wakanda forever minimalist shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this rise of religious fanaticism, terrorism, lack of civility and manners, lack of concern for others, animosity towards science and education, a more crowded and generally more unpleasant way of life, and the decline in intelligence of the global population, how could I create a person and subject them to all that, in good conscience? If I could afford to give them the opportunities I had and if the world hadn’t become such a toilet, I would have kids. I feel like I’ve been cheated out of a basic human experience I would have otherwise wanted. There are a lot of things: 1 A disgusting creature that does nothing but shits, eats and chokes 2 I have to pay for the both of us 3 They’re ugly 4 Humans succ 5 To noisy 6 Annoying 7 Destroying EVERYTHING 8 Just becouse I was born in the 90s, and when I was a teenager there was just so much negativity around pregnancy. I get that they where supposed to scare us to not have sex (or at least use contraception), but that shit scarred me and I was not going to have kids ever. Even the things that weren’t supposed to scare us, ended up doing so, like the sitcom Two and a half men. That show is very focused on marriage and those go two and two together. But the guy that didn’t get married vs the guy that did (the half man is the married guys kid) has pretty much everything in life going for him, and the now divorced guy is suffering from extreme poverty.
