It is taught from young age that children must not hold more than one window open for it is a portal to the Black dynamite shirt also I will do this dreaded creature of ice and pain. I didn’t realize that the Flying Spaghetti Monster boiled for our sins. Just assumed that it flew in from space. Countries being called something else in their native tongue, china is zhongguo, Japan is nihon, Spain is españa. A lot more, I just learned of these and now I have to check all of them. I always wished we would just use the same names for places. If it’s their country, they get to pick the name and we get stuck with it. Never understood why it has to be so complicated. I grew up with the understanding that Monotheism didn’t simply mean that you believe in one god, but that there is literally only one god, and that all spiritual faiths are interpreting that one god through different cultural lenses. It literally blew my mind when I found people who could not accept or acknowledge that they shared the same god. How out of date Muslim religion is and yet no one thought to upgrade so it complies to modern standards. E.g equality, technological advancement, One of the main things about being Muslim is to help the other. So they generally do donations or volunteering or give for free directly to the people they think need help.

From a Catholic society that’s used to tithe Black dynamite shirt also I will do this directly to the church, I found great that Islam doesn’t ask the money for itself, it asks Muslims to help others out. I’m sure there are certain mosques or imams that ask for that help for themselves, but it is generally interpreted as give time, effort, or money to help out those who are in need. Most Christians are asked to give money directly to the church. I was pretty shocked to find out that people really believe in the rapture, look forward to it, and blame LGBTQ+ people for stalling it from coming. In Colorado in the mountains, people jump off cliffs with skis and parachutes or whatever while sipping tea like it’s nothing Before fully embracing atheism I checked out a bunch of religions. And I saw the same compulsive ritualism and lack of diversity in each one that I hated in catholicism. So it made it easier to say fuck it to all of them
