While drunk, a few friends of mine and I decided it would be fun to shoot rimfire .22 rounds by hitting them with golf clubs. After a few missed swings by a friend, I jumped in. First swing I drove that hunk of metal straight up into my thigh. Pretty sure it was a ricochet because it didn’t penetrate much more than an inch into my thigh. The metal I pulled out was hot and mangled and seemed to cauterize my wound within a few seconds. The pain was maybe 3 out of 10. Hid my bullet hole from my dad who would’ve been extremely disappointed in me if he had found out. Learned my lesson. I have another question in line with this one: what does it feel like to go into shock after being shot? Like what is that sensation? I’ve never gone into shock myself so I can’t imagine being calm after realising that you have a bullet in you

I felt extremely calm and cloudy/confused. I remember telling my dads friend to chill out as he was taking me to the Bisexual Lgbt Valentine’s Day Cute Subtle Hearts T-Shirt But I will love this hospital lol I caught a stray through my thigh when I was 7-8, back in the 80s. It honestly didn’t register at first until my friend pointed out that I was bleeding. Put a neat hole through the front but I had a mangled mess on the back right below my butt cheek. Mom just wrapped it up and I went about my day afterword. I’ve experienced much worse pain since. I can only assume that the shock kept me from registering just how bad it was. 45 to the chest. I felt a lot of pressure and then a burning sensation. I didn’t even realize I’d been shot until I hit the ground. Maybe it was due to shock, but it didn’t hurt much until the ambulance showed up. The worst part was I had a sucking chest wound so I couldn’t hardly breath and my mouth kept filling up with blood. I was unconscious by the time I got to the hospital, but when I woke up I was in intense pain and they couldn’t really give me much because they were worried about my breathing. Met up to sell something off Facebook marketplace. Guy got in the car and said “You already know what it is” and pulled out a gun and shot me 3 times in the stomach. I got out the car and ran and he got out and chased me. I yelled help really loud and fell down and called my mom. Stayed in hospital for 2 weeks. It hurt a lot but I ate a pepper once in high school that gave me the greatest pain ever.
