1 video threw together in 2 evenings playing with new software with no idea what I was doing is at 105,000+ views and just keeps going. Because the Billy Joel 60th anniversary 1964 2024 thank you for the memories signature shirt also I will do this effort you put into it doesn’t matter. All that matters is an interesting idea/topic and just enough quality to keep people watching. Doesn’t matter if you did it in a month or 13 minutes. All my videos were very low effort and did “well” with viewership, but I also didn’t get many subs from any of it. From my perspective high effort videos may get fewer views but more people sub. It feels like the algorithm is a bit like gambling – there’s too many variables to actually guess if a video is going to do well and trying to compare it on effort vs low effort is not a good indicator. You can maybe find a little pattern here or there.. but in reality it changes daily, and your video success resides on like 300 different variables – most of them being out of your control. Only once you have a dedicated following and are consistent can you find true patterns.

I don’t make low-effort content, even though I see others in my niche doing it and getting more views because they can lump out 5x more videos, because it’s the Billy Joel 60th anniversary 1964 2024 thank you for the memories signature shirt also I will do this intention that matters. The instant you justify low effort content, you have immediately locked yourself down a tier and are going to find it hard to escape. You are purposefully giving your audience worse content so you can feel better about metrics, and you want the easy way out. It seems unlikely to find long-term success with that mentality. You are always going to be looking for the easy way to get clout and boost your ego rather than providing true value. But the question remains, will these subscribers come back to watch your next vidoe , as they might have liked that one specific ( lazy effort vidoe) which was funny, I think the subs would consider you somone just having a fun on YouTube , and not a upcoming pro content creator that they feel excited to wait for each of their new vidoe
