It’s amazing how wolves can make the deer fearful but not 2 tones of metal speeding down the road constantly hitting their family and friends. There are a bunch of factors here that could be part of the reason, but the biggest is probably that wolves kill more deer than cars. Three others I could think off the top of my head (aka pulled out of my rear): Give them attachments that take in chemicals from the environment to assemble a lighter than air crystalline powder (kind of a synthetic anthrax in effect). Basically tiny diamond tipped blades shred things into this deadly powder that glides in the wind like spores. Anything that inhales it will die and it also messes up electronics.

The increase is caused not based as much on the booming wolf population, but because they think they’re so cool by causing a Landscape of Fear, they wear sunglasses and chainsmoke cigarettes, effectively hampering their vision. Seems to me, at least way up here, the coyotes have taken over whatever claims the wolves used to have. But it could be a totally different dynamic or hunting style. Up here they chase the deer until they are exhausted and then the feast begins, or they get the babies when they are propped and settled down and mom is away. It’s a horrifying sound, 0 out of 10, do not recommend…
