If I’m going to be treated like shit for doing something that betters public health, they can have my germs and burn. The pandemic is not officially over and we can never know if a new mutation will emerge so I want to be cautious for my health and the elderly people that I am living with. I had covid and I don’t really want to have it again. So when I am indoors, I wear them. When I am outside and there’s enough physical distance, I don’t wear them. But if people stand so close to each other even if it is outside, I try to wear a mask. I wear my mask outside because I have gotten so used to shit talking people within feet of me without them hearing me due to my voice being muffled and my lips covered. I don’t when I’m out walking my dog, but I still wear my mask indoors. I have high risk family members, and while we are all vaxxed and boosted, I want to keep them safe.

Wore one to vote this morning. But it depends where I’m at, how many people are around me and who they are. So we’ re used it by now Because covid almost killed me the first time, put me on a ventilator, in a coma, and in the hospital for 3 months. I had to move back in with my mom at age 33 so she could care for me. It took a year to relearn to do basic every day things. I had to relearn to breathe, swallow, walk, shower, text, sit upright, wipe my own butt, roll over in bed, get into a car, get up from a chair, basic stuff. I still can’t feel my left leg. I’m not going to risk that again.
