Now she doesn’t even sleep in bedroom and we’re both happier for it lol. It seems like it really does come with time, if you kick him out while you sleep he will never adjust to your schedule.. just what I’ve come to notice with ours. He’ll be fine. We have a deaf cat who is an unrepentant beggar and screams all. The. Time. We love her very much but sometimes she spends ten minutes in the bathroom so we can use the kitchen (aka the treat room) in peace. My kitty would pull out push pins and take them to the bath tub to bat around like caroms in the middle of the night. I don’t sleep with my cats. They have the rest of the house to roam, plus, comfy cozy nooks where they can rest or hide. They don’t need my room. My cat gouged my eye with his claws while I lay asleep as he ran across my face. I dare you to come up with a worse way to wake up than “stabbed in the eye”. Neither of my cats are allowed in the bedroom at all. We consider it setting a boundary and not a punishment. We make sure to play with them during the day, have set feeding times, give them treats and snuggles before bed. It works for us. Absolutely not a bad cat mom. I also felt bad when I had out my cat out for the first time. You need your rest and sleep to be the best cat mom you can for him. Nah you are doing fine! I had to put my little boy runt in a cage at night or else I would never get any sleep, It was a big cage too with a litter box and a food and water bowl. your cat will eventually grow out of the zoomies phase so enjoy the energy he has now because when he gets older he will get calmer and lazier lol. I couldn’t sleep with my toes outside the covers when my cat was a kitten. If I had to, I had to put kitty out of the room.

They need their zoomies, and momma needs her sleep. If they meow, I usually ignore it and they stop after 10 min. My kitty is put into the kitchen at night that has an attached utility room with an igloo bed, litter box and water fountain. He knows the routine and even wanders in ready at night to be given his treat ball and toys that I leave him. He gets let out when my husband gets up for work to have snuggles in the morning. Routine is best with cats so they know what is happening. I have a cat that lives in my basement because he’s an asshole to my other cat. I also was laid off a few months ago and don’t get to seem him as often as when I was working in my office. I felt like shit, but he’s still here and loves cuddles. I would pick mine up from the scruff of the neck ( gentle) and drop him off the side of the bed. Took two nights for him to get it.
