There’s an Indian movie, Guzaarish, which deals with the Believe Achieve Succeed Black History Month Celebration T-Shirt besides I will buy this topic of Euthanasia as well. Pretty much ends the same way. If she’s able to prove that they had a mutual agreement, I don’t think she should face any charges. She already had to do the hardest thing in her life. I see a lot of things on this site that makes me feel a certain way but this— man. I have a terminal illness as well and just reading this made me stop what I was doing and just sit on my bed staring at the floor. No one should have to go through this, I feel so awful for her. And this is why we need to make it a legal option to have medical assisted death at end of life situation with no chance of recovery. With euthanasie being a “legal” thing since 2002 in my country, it’s comforting to know you and others don’t have to suffer needlessly if it ends like that. My sister in laws father had it done last year, they had a sit down with the family, surgeon and family doctor and decided to grant him his wish. He died peacefully knowing he didn’t have to suffer through years of non life threatening but a debilitating physical scar after a last change life saving cancer operation. It’s also better for his wife and family this way. He wasn’t suffering from dementie etc though. Those cases are much harder to decide, but I’ll leave that to the medical professionals. That’s so sad. In another state, they could make use of “die with dignity” statutes. Oregon is even working on removing the residency requirement. My wife has sworn to stay true to our suicide pact, she only asks I go first so I die seeing her face as I pass.

I think people should be allowed to kill themselves but I’m very wary of the Believe Achieve Succeed Black History Month Celebration T-Shirt besides I will buy this government getting involved in the process. I’ve seen how badly some of the elderly are abused by their children, how they are manipulated and gaslit into decisions against their best interests because their kids want these old folk to roll over and die so they can cash in. Until we have sufficient safeguards in place, I wouldn’t feel comfortable getting the government involved in the process. Unfortunate that these kind of things are the result. Wish it didn’t have to be the case and hope we can get there soon. From several indirect* experiences, it seems like it might be common that hospice will leave a lethal amount of morphine (or whatever) for family to administer to a suffering patient in their last days/hours. It’s very much an unspoken thing, of course, due to it being illegal. *By indirect, I mean this has happened thrice within my family, but I was not the one who administered the lethal dose. I have no clue how common it is in general and it only applies to home settings.
