That nobody will ever be good enough for my daughter. But also that she’s a very capable, strong person. We’ll protect her but she probably won’t need it. After living in a house with a dad and 2 brothers plus my mum I now have a wife and 2 daughters and women are not tidy. For blokes it doesn’t matter – front to back, back to front, same same – for girls it is important to go front to back. I see this as something to be cherished, and my daughter does too. How would they know about all that unless someone “exposed” it to them? Somebody or something educated them of multiple genders, etc. Whether it be you, youtube, or someone else they know.

I asked my co-worker, because he’s 6 months into his tour of duty, and he just looked at me and said “down and away…” My daughter is naturally kind and talkative, it super easy for her to get friends. She doesn’t look down younger girls and has lots of younger friends too. So this social life thingy seems to be easy for her.
