No idea! Our rent is $3500 for the Be Nice to the Bus Driver It’s A long walk Home From School T-Shirt in other words I will buy this top floor of a 3-floor house here in the Greater Toronto Area. I eat into my savings every month just to scrape by. According to worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/average-family-income, median household income is ~$174k in DC and ~$124k in CA. No kids, I have a roommate to share expenses and I constantly put a way money before it hits my back account (deferred comp and direct deposit into other savings accounts). What I have left I use to take care of my bills and expenses. Biggest thing, I try and live within my means. I drive an okay car, nothing fancy. I don’t try and get the newest “thing”. If I spend, it’s on quality and will last me a while till I save up for the next time. I’m not trying to keep up with anyone – cause most of the people flossing are broke af.

I cook on a regular basis and keep bulk staple foods in the Be Nice to the Bus Driver It’s A long walk Home From School T-Shirt in other words I will buy this house. You can do a whole lot with beans, rice, some basic proteins and some seasoning. Mostly good timing and having a skillset that pays much above the norm. Without that, I would say that paying and affording are to different things. Debt and such. To elaborate, I bought my first house at 20, ironically because no one would rent to me for fear I would trash the place. That was 2015, so the run up in housing allowed me to upgrade to a dream house with a reasonable mortgage. So that was simply good timing. I also got a degree in computer science and math. At first the pay wasnt great, but after almost a decade of doing it, it pays pretty well. That being said, I don’t feel as well off as I did before covid. Not saying I’m struggling, just that everything costs so much more relative to my income that i find myself with less leftover. I also don’t have kids. Being DINKWADs definitely allows us to do more. That’s my blessing and my curse .. I’m such a pathetic degenerate I never got credit really so it sucks but I would of just fucked it anyway
