Probably some backlash at first. But the Baseball down goes anderson Joe Ramirez knocks out Tim Anderson T-Shirt besides I will buy this people already subscribed to it are not losing anything. So technically they should get more subscribers in the long run. If their shows reach less people, that overall can end up hurting the popularity and revenue of the streaming service. False. I’ve only had Netflix because it was free through a phone plan. The rest of my family is all on that phone plan. We all live in different households. Presumably Netflix is giving that away and the phone company isn’t paying them or is paying a heavily subsidized rate (I could be wrong on that), so losing a full family of non paying people isn’t exactly going to hurt them. Not that I’m in the Netflix corner in this one, but it doesn’t feel like this is a great example.

Better for their competitors, I will not pay for Netflix but I’ll have to have something so I’ll go pay elsewhere. Less, subs are dropping like crazy. I would really not be surprised if they reverted this decision within a month. When this hit us, we canceled and shifted to disney. It was essentially a kid show service anyway, it might as well be the Baseball down goes anderson Joe Ramirez knocks out Tim Anderson T-Shirt besides I will buy this cheaper one. Do they not realize that there are competitors and that they are the most expensive streaming services outside cable/satellite? This is so dumb. Most expensive before adding any outside tvs. Like, could yall stop making shitty movies and canceling good series? Maybe then you’d be worth 30 a month? Streaming is dead, it’s so fractured between so many apps now that no service is “worth it” and most of their original content is pretty awful. Back to the high seas for me! Another infuriating part about this is the fact that I now won’t be able to log into Netflix while traveling for work :-/ To be fair, Netflix said you would be able to do that. They didn’t explain how they were going to determine it was you just traveling though
