I don’t like Spoons, I worry that their ubiquity and ability to work at such a large scale hurts independent local pubs or pubs owned by local breweries. I used to have this opinion about 10 years ago when spoons were accelerating. To be honest local pubs still thrive and I can’t really see spoons stealing their business. Spoons is good for certain things like a cheap meal, breakfast, a 9am pint or pre-drinks for students, but it doesn’t really go beyond that. I live in Germany and never buy McDonald’s here. A standard meal is about €14, and I’m pretty sure the portions are smaller than the UK. There are much better independent places in my city that are considerably cheaper. Who even gets McDonald’s delivered, it’s barely hot enough when you get it in store let alone wait 20 mins with it sat in a sweaty bag!

The problem I have with McDonald’s is I get a nostalgic sense of ‘I fancy a McDonald’s burger’, but because I only have it once every few years or so, it no longer tastes the Baltimore Ravens super star logo shirt Furthermore, I will do this way I remember it. Put it on the app and you get 2 months to use it. Get any meal less the drink for £1.99. Yeah I wish I’d taken advantage of those vouchers more when they were still a thing. I just took them for granted because they were available every week. Even if they did the vouchers for £2.99, that would at least be something Expensive now, it’s cheaper to get a Chinese takeaway for two than two to eat at McDonald’s. Used to be the other way round. You must have not had a Chinese recently then I can’t find a place where I can get a meat dish and a rice dish for under £20 I’d say Indians the best as prices haven’t raised much I’d say it was but now it’s a bloody joke. It’s made worse because McDonald’s only seems to fill me up for a bit but then I’m starving again. I also have to buy a chaser burger or wrap since a medium meal isn’t that substantial really. I say this as a petite female.
