Christmas bonuses do not exist like the Baltimore Ravens National Football League Shirt and I will buy this movies. At best, most of us get pizza and a few more days off if we’re lucky. or several years now. Shortly after 9/11 they were completely banned but you’ve been able to take knitting on a plane for over 10 years in most places. I was able to take a kubotan and pepper spray through TSA last time, didn’t even realize it was in my bag til I landed and went through my luggage. Protecting our skies o7 Not only that, I do embroidery as a hobby and take my pouch of sharp embroidery needles, snips, and seam rippers through security every time I fly and have never had a problem Imagine having a hobby that you can do quietly and alone… and some stranger coming up to you to talk to you about it! How. The fuck. Do people not understand??? I’m not by myself reading my book, or listening to my headphones, or playing a game as an invitation to come corner me because you can’t handle being alone with your thoughts for 5 milliseconds. Ugh I used to take a book with me to the playground or carnival rides when my kids were little. As I patiently waited for them to finish whatever they were doing, I would stand and read my book. The number of times someone would want to discuss how I could read in that setting was frustrating. I always wanted to say I am perfectly capable of reading and interacting with my children. I am not interested in discussing my ability with a stranger. I was reading a book in Starbucks, and a guy came up to hit on me with the guise that he was interested in my reading material….

It’s nice to have a chat with a stranger. Sometimes the Baltimore Ravens National Football League Shirt and I will buy this best conversation you have is one you have with someone you don’t know because they bring a fresh perspective. If I’m reading a book, I’d be very happy to chat about it with the person to sit by me. You don’t have to be rude if someone asks for a conversation to lighten the mood. But I do have to be rude. This stranger didn’t ask “can I pick your brains about that boom or should I leave you to it?”. No, they assumed a conversation was desired and plowed ahead. Ask politely. Do not assume a conversation is desired, and don’t act discouraged or put out if conversation is rejected. Knitters are often pretty thrilled to talk to other knitters they meet out. People like to talk about their hobbies. Obviously that woman isn’t one of them, but still.
