i went to school in australia where every school has school uniforms, so fancy dress days were always a fundraiser event where u bring a gold coin donation. paying for the Baker Mayfield Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1st down almost friday shirt besides I will buy this artwork is a bloody ripoff though, they used to just send it all home with us at the end of term I remember going to a uniform school, we’d have casual clothes day where we could wear our casual clothes if we brought food to donate . I often didn’t because we were poor with no electricity and empty pantry, we were the ones that needed the donation. As someone who struggles financially and is trying to keep everyone at minimum (it’s all we can afford rn ) clothes , food , roof ,hygiene ? I’d be upset . So assuming there isn’t a dress code, what stops you from sending your kid in a costume and saying it’s just their normal clothes lol I would really like my school to try to make us pay for our artwork just to see them crumble to nothing as we all either take it or throw it out because none of us God damn care and they can’t enforce it. The art one is pretty wild. My kids daycare kinda does this but you always get the original no charge, and then you can buy magnets or coffee thermos or whatever with the art on it and the school gets a cut for fundraising. Just sue them for discrimination. I’m sure there’s a case of here, if you spin it just right. Better call saul.

I grew up poor, the amount of fucking Shame and damnaged this could cause for a child, I’d honestly be thinking of changing schools if they ever tried to pull this shit with my kid, like even if it’s “cheep” it’s not right. There are so many better ways to fundraise for things in school. Maybe it’s because I’m not from the USA but this just seems wrong
