Right? Me and my husband spent the Bad Religion Break Out 2023 Shirt Apart from…,I will love this last few years head down focused on work to set ourselves in a good position. I tripled my salary in 3 years and got 6 promotions. Granted we have no hobbies and have worked like crazy. No real “play” but now we can just maintain doing a good job without really reaching for the next promotion. 6 promotions in 3 years just sounds like you are in a chaotic workplace with a lot of turnover because in most places, working for 3 years means potentially 1 promotion and at most 2 if you are truly grinding. I think it really depends on your long-term goals and what place your career holds in your life. I’m in the exact same position as you- early 40s 160k easy job, but at this moment in time, I have no desire to add to my duties. I love spending extra time working on my own projects and just living. There’s nothing wrong with that, and hustle culture can f off. I hustled hard for 20 years, I’m done.

Bad Religion Break Out 2023 Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I am in your same shoes! (Minus the Bad Religion Break Out 2023 Shirt Apart from…,I will love this offer). But I have young kids – so I am much more willing to cruise until they get a little big and need less parent time. I’ve also seen others take the easier job because they have hobbies outside of work that they want to spend more time focusing on and coast at work And I’ve seen others that just enjoy more intellectually stimulating work and continue to take higher pay for more work Easy remote work for 170k? You ought to be planning for early retirement, or even better: start your own business and be a good boss. That’s a good question, I think the answer really has to do with your overall life’s ambitions goals…. are you someone who craves materialistic goals (big house, cars, big family etc.) or someone who wants more modest and stress free living ? The issue with most careers is unless your very motivated and are willing to put in the work and are shooting for the top spot , you may not always be in a position due to circumstances or just bad luck to have your career go your way. Think of all the athletes, artists, musicians who devote their lives to their passion but never reach the top…. Also depends on your age and how long you want to work, for me I’m more I to the r/Fire camp, work hard for 10-15 years live frugally and then retire early (or at least work more on your terms) , to me this gives you the options to enjoy life while you’re still young Thank you for your perspective. I’m not motivated by material things – have no family whatsoever and live pretty minimalist. Trying to balance out the low stress life currently or pay bump with potentially high stress but would potentially get to retirement quicker. I think the issue may be I don’t really have a goal
