Do you have deep set eyes? Because that is definitely a thing that often makes eyeliner difficult to do. I’m much older than you and I have trouble because my orbital bone means that I have a recessed hollow right where eyeliner goes. My eyes are not hooded, I have visible eyelid space but it’s difficult to do eyeliner with a pencil because that space is not very flat. I can do pot gel liner but only with a very small, thin brush. Liquid liner- I suggest trying a “pen” style, a wand/”brush” style, and a dip pot and liner brush style to see which you find easier to hold/control. It does make a difference! Either generally perform a bit better once warmed in the hands, first, as most are wax based.
