I don’t know if I was right or wrong about 3 days, but this was always going to be the Awesome sameofma Adoptoutcrew shirt in contrast I will get this outcome. Anyone affiliated with any company that does such a thing saying that they are shocked are lying liars. Being blind to worse case scenarios and thinking the best outsome will be the average user case is a known issue for buisinesses. Example : the OceanGate CEO who died in his own submersible after ignoring warnings and firing the safety engineer. In my experience people aren’t just idiots. They are willful idiots. Often time they will be told by someone exactly what is going to happen if they pursue a certain project or a certain course of action. Often times they actively sideline those voices and promote yes men around them, then act surprised when things go sideways.

But I got the occasional colleague who would think making things more difficult is a good thing. As in “let’s add errors on purpose to keep production on their toes” kind of suggestion. Thankfully, no one listened to him. It could have gone back to chat only. There are async technologies which can handle massive quantities of users sending textual data for quite cheap. I’m not. If there’s a raft of abuse claims already lodged against it, no big company wants to take on those previous liabilities.
