Similar situation for me. My block has absolutely no soundproofing whatsoever. I’m four flights up, and can hear every time someone opens or closes the Awesome let’s Go Kansas City Chiefs NFL football shirt Furthermore, I will do this front door to the building, and well as people locking and unlocking their doors, jingling their keys, the front door buzzer/intercom for other flats, conversations in the hallway, etc. Last night someone got a food delivery at 11 pm. Even if nobody is being particularly loud, it’s loud. Yes, same on keys and conversations. Noises in the stairwell really echo. Luckily it isn’t frequent that I’m woken in the middle of the night but there is often more noise than I’d like at 10/11 pm. I can also hear every footstep if the people upstairs keep their shoes on.

I can even hear when the Awesome let’s Go Kansas City Chiefs NFL football shirt Furthermore, I will do this people next to me use their microwave, run the shower, or open a creaky cabinet door! Thankfully TV/music noise doesn’t really seem to carry, and for that I’m grateful. For me, the lack of noise insulation is the worst part. I hear everything that happens upstairs. Including the 3 year old crying every single morning, and sometimes for hours in the afternoon to switch things up. If it makes you feel any better I live in a house, and I still hear the next door neighbour slamming their front door, and the other side clanging their metal gate, and the kids crying at 4am, etc etc. It’s all part of living in a city, just be glad it isn’t culturally normal in the UK to open a window, stick a PA system on your windowsill and play reggaeton for 18 hours a day…
