Funnily enough IKEA’s smart Tradfri bulbs are probably the Autumn Smash shirt, hoodie, sweater and tank top in addition I really love this 2nd best. Not as great color reproduction, but they work off the same protocol as Hue bulbs (called ZigBee), allowing you to pair them to your Hue bridge. Never buy WiFi bulbs. If you have to pair your lightbulb to wifi, you’re just causing yourself many future headaches. Yeah I have those and never had any of the issues above. Got them when I was going away on a long trip so they’d turn on and off in the mornings and evenings based on a schedule I set up. Made it look like someone was still home. Really it’s only Siri that’s ever been a problem with them. I can’t upvote this enough. Philips Hue are definitely worth the price of not having to deal with frustration and inferior products.

The “just Bluetooth” thing has dissuaded me from Hue. We ended up buying Sylvania’s Smart+ wifi bulbs which have been very dependable for us – since 2020. Though we don’t ask much of them – A few scheduled on/offs, some color schemes, etc. We aren’t using voice command or Alexa/Google integration either, so I can’t speak about that implementation. I have had to reset a bulb or two in the Autumn Smash shirt, hoodie, sweater and tank top in addition I really love this last couple years, but not at any regular interval. We turn most of them on/off at the switch. The only major downside I can come up with is they only work on 2.4ghz. Which works out for us, I keep a separate vLAN for IoT devices, what else would I be using the 2.4ghz antenna for at this point? I got mine in 2017, two of the bulbs in my ceiling fan have a slightly different color temp from the third. Still very satisfied with them. I mainly use them with the white settings but overnight I have them dim into a dim red/orange as a night light. Not including the small variations that developed over the years, no hiccups or glitches. Mine are also the pre-bluetooth era ones, so they need the hub and all to work and communicate.
