Be careful. Be very, very careful to not get carried away by some holier than thou attitude. You may think you know more than others, the Atari Yars’ Revenge Badge shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this sleeping masses or whatever you want to call them, but even if that is the case, if you go at it from that perspective, you will end up wrapped up in your ego so fast you won’t even notice. Be very careful. Invest time into remaining humble. You need to actively humble yourself. Otherwise, you’re nothing but a sleeper of a different kind, or worse. they are having a dream, basically, and you could wake them gently and give them a moment to decide for themselves if they’d rather stay awake or go back to sleep, but if they want to go back to sleep, that’s their choice, haha. basically we’re not supposed to preach too much, but we can certainly give information if it’s not in a pushy way.

Atari Yars’ Revenge Badge shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Hear, hear! You don’t have to wake anyone. Only care about yourself. You have free will, and you choose to proceed, grow, and woke, they, too, have free will, and they can choose. I love how your response to “what would you do in this made-up scenario” is “Nothing because I wouldn’t believe it if it happened” “Monks, this holy life is not practiced for the Atari Yars’ Revenge Badge shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this sake of deceiving the public, or for the sake of gaining their respect, or for the sake of gains, offerings and fame, or for the sake of defeating other religions. So you would eagerly, but cautiously go to wake up the sleeping people in this hypothetical scenario then, correct? That depends. The Buddha suggested that his monks go out into the world to make the buddha’s teachings available. But not proselytize (bend arms). They would go to the villages in the morning and collect food in their bowls, then go back to their monasteries and if people showed up, they would teach. If this is a metaphor for spiritual awakening, then you might want to wake people up to share that with them but then encounter the problem that you can’t force anyone to go through the necessary training. If this is a metaphor for the impending collapse of civilization and sixth mass extinction, then you also can’t force someone to wake up. Denial is very powerful stuff. But therein lies the dilemma, someone may deem this to be the case and use that as justification for not at least attempting to wake someone up. All that acceptance and kindness won’t be shared or experienced by others, it will just be at your own comfort and no one elses
