Why would these parents agree to buy a goat for their child knowing they will have to auction it off to be slaughtered, allow the child to treat it like a pet and bond with it every day knowing that it needs to be returned and slaughtered, not offer to buy it before it is auctioned, and then only try to go back and buy it after breaking their contract and getting caught by the cops? this is 100% the fault of the parent for being ignorant. The program should have allowed her to buy out the goat, but the parent willingly broke a deal and is the entire reason for all of this in the first place because they didn’t treat the situation seriously from the beginning. Can you imagine if every participant did this?
