I purchased the Assuming I’m Just An Old Lady Was Your First Mistake Shirt it is in the first place but s20 ultra with 12 gigs of ram to hopefully future proof it a bit. I can see getting three years out of this device hopefully. My S10+ is still going strong. Havent come across anything yet that makes me think I really need to replace this I’d also like to see the culture of wanting to upgrade to the newest/best every year even if the phone is running fine die.. Admittedly I do worry on my old ass iPhone how secure any of my info is on there when I can’t upgrade so many apps past a certain point, because they’re only compatible with newer models. I’ve owned three smart phones in the past 14 years (iPhone 3G, 6, and X). So I’m averaging pretty close to 5 years each. Usefulness, ruggedness, and repairability is more important than thinness and a camera capable of shooting a Hollywood movie. Anyone remember modular phones by Google? Making your own custome phone using modules. Would be cool if that were to return and become mainstream. Still using my iPhone 6s since 2016. Replaced the battery about a year ago and it’s still going strong. Some minor issues here and there, but nothing worth overspending on a newer phone.

I wonder if the Assuming I’m Just An Old Lady Was Your First Mistake Shirt it is in the first place but iphone7 plus is one of the last gen that was built well, I can’t fathom buying a new phone every year, this one’s been going strong for 6 years and just barely started to really show signs of slowing down. This is not a phone issue. It’s a technology product lifecycle issue. The tech product lifecycle is 3 years. On the commercial side and the consumer side. This is part of a larger issue of produced goods being built with poor quality/durability. Long gone are the times of appliances and tools that last 5, 10 or 25 years. This is an issue core to consumerism and capitalism. Every iPhone I bought since the 3GS is still working. All since the 5SE are still in active use. Iirc, all up to the 8 are still receiving software updates. I’m still using my SE from 2016, because I like having a phone that I can hold with one hand and fit in my pocket.
