I’d make myself stay in school instead of dropping out after grade 11. I’d go on to Uni and set myself up for a good career while I had the Art Jonathan Van Ness shirt and I will buy this opportunity, instead of going into a life of minimum wage poverty. I’d likely have dropped out, taken the GED test and went straight to college. (I worked my way through anyhow so no biggie.) Might not have wasted so much time on certain relationships either, probably would have still done my most recent one exactly the same though, even though it ended and it hurt, he was a good one. I would have made all the big life choices I’d wanted to make. Turns out the adults in my life were pretty dang uninformed about a whole lot of stuff. There are so many things I would be tempted to change, but if you offered the life I live now to my 16 year old self, I would take it 10 times out of 10.

196 more repliesI would definitely have gone into a more lucrative field, studied harder, drank less, took better care of my body. I’d marry the Art Jonathan Van Ness shirt and I will buy this same man though and move to the same state. My concern is that at my age teens and 20 year olds are like kids to me. I suppose even though I’m in a younger body I would still feel that way. I wouldn’t be sexually attracted to them. I prob would actually feel pedo around them. Second priority – Find my current wife in her past self, and somehow convince her to get married so we can enjoy life together more. Third priority – save the lives of some close people who died from covid. I know the exact days they would get infected, so that’s that. I don’t think I’ll be able to pull off anything else. Might come across as a lunatic warning people about the upcoming pandemic or wars. Quit the activity that causes my stressful dreams today. Drumline. My fear of unpreparedness and failure still haunts me now with exact situations from the stress that came with drumline. At this point, it’s just freaking annoying. With the additional amount of time I would have, I’d also study harder and aim toward a better career. Even if it wouldn’t change my belief that academia isn’t really my thing, my only motivation would be from my cultural upbringing. On a positive note, I now know what I really want to do: To snorkel and to eventually scuba dive as much as possible. But what would that need? Money. How do I get it? A better job to save up. Now something I wish I did to do that? Be a better student.
