I have even had friends that started dating someone tell me that when they come over to talk to them I need to leave the area because they don’t want them to like me instead of them. It’s not all great it can be very lonely. I think there are different benefits to different levels that we aren’t seeing. There is a level people find you attractive and yet still approachable. There is a level that you could be considered unattractive making you approachable making you a non threat and have the opportunity to be viewed as funny or smart or people seeing you are actually beautiful because of who you are and not just what they can see. Then there is a level of not approachable, assumed to be mean, assumed to be dumb, assumed to have no morals to not steal other peoples crushes; there is no opportunity given by others to be anything different.
