I very nearly picked this game up but while I was looking in the Xbox store I spotted the currency ’add ons’ …. I will absolutely not support this sort of macro transaction bullshit… I prefer macrotransaction bullshit like this (pay X for Y) than the microtransaction/loot box bullshit (pay 0.X for 1% chance to get Y) I have horse armor in Skyrim. I hate it. I hate horses in Skyrim in general. Every time you travel, your mount (which you’re not on) just automatically charges into battle. And I can’t just kill it, since I have the unicorn. Yes, you read that right. I have a fucking unicorn, for the same reason I have horse armor. I have the Anniversary Edition, which includes all the Creation Club content. And most of it is cool, you got weapons, you goI do plan on getting d4 cuz my girlfriend really enjoys the playstyle so it’s a fun game we’ll be able to play together… yet we will not be buying any of the shit ass dlc. Like dlc is fine but it need to be affordable and interesting. Not whatever the hell this has become Grim Dawn might be up your alley, without needing to give your money to the hellscape that is Blizzard. My wife and I play it all the time. How is this any different than PoE charging 30+ bucks on wings? Its all the same shit, but I guess it’s cool to shit on blizzard now. Don’t get me wrong, both are pretty meh. Poe is free so it can slide easier. But at the end of the day both games prey on whales. Kind of? Realistically if you play to maps you need to get a few stash tabs ( Map, Premium, Currency ) so it’s prob around 30 bucks to actually enjoy the game in a nice QoL way. Of course you don’t have to, that’s defo true, but gl playing with 4 stash tabs.

Difference with PoE is that it’s gatekeeping almost /all/ of the Arise Roots Live At The Belly Up Play Guitar T-Shirt moreover I will buy this cool looking gear behind a payment whilst Diablo’s in-game achievable gear and such are on par, if not, currently better looking than what the store offers. Diablo will most likely get really cool sets like Poe has, but now they’re keeping it on the down low to not get negative feedback. The battlepass will kind of have to provide cool shit because If it doesn’t the game will prob end up kinda dead since they wont be financially incentivised. If it’s anything like Diablo 3, the gold drops go up exponentially as you increase the difficulty, and that two mil will just seem like pocket change after a while. Who cares. If overpriced cosmetics are what take for the game to continually get updates, that’s fine by me. POE model is great. The whales can buy all the cosmetic shit and I can enjoy an up to date game.
