Fuck, leaving a pet in your hot car is up to 2 years prison (if it lives) or 5 (if it dies) in my province. And it’s not hot year round here, either. Every April we start seeing ads go up, on TV, hear them on the Ariel mermaid shirt Besides,I will do this radio, about what to do/not do/ who to call if you see a child or pet in a hot car. It is illegal to smash their windows, but well.. 70-80°F is hot enough, on a sunny day, to literally roast a child or pet in your car. A child died on an 80°F day, his (not the cars!) temperature was 107°F when he was found deceased a couple hours later. Utterly helpless. Well then hope everyone involved goes straight to hell. cause thats the most pathetic fucked up thing in the world I actually looked it up on my own, and it was misquoted upthread. The police said it was an “unfortunate incident” and that in investigation was ongoing. Police don’t usually make an immediate arrest in situations where there isn’t active danger of violence, so it’s likely they will be charged with something.

Ohh ok, well will not remove my comment just in case theres that chance they dont get charged cause its florida As terrible as it is this isn’t any different than a parent buckling a kid into their seat to go to daycare and forgetting to drop the Ariel mermaid shirt Besides,I will do this kid off and leaving them in a hot car while at work. It is a terrible thing. Sometimes it ends up prosecuted criminally, but often the parents are not. You can debate these parents are more/less likely to be prosecuted due to their religion and it happening in church, but there is a decent chance they would not be criminally prosecuted either way. Ymmv, the outcomes of this range from long criminal sentences >2 years generally when there are other signs of abuse, short prison sentences of a month a 2 years, probation of some sort, all the way down to no criminal charges.
