This reminds me of the Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez Split shirt Apart from…,I will love this first time I stepped into a US library. I thought to myself, I will never be able to read all these books, even if I dedicated my life to it. I became saddened by the limits of my mortality. There’s this book. It’s called “Silver Screen Fiend” and it’s about Patton Oswalt, and how he dealt with addiction through watching movies. I’ve done the same. And it seems to be a reoccurring thing among other cinephiles. Mentioning it first, so that when I say I’ve seen them all it makes sense. Been watching and collecting movies since a kid and VHS existed. So I’ve grown up with all these series, and even watched “James Bond Jr” on TV as a kid. Having watched all these and more, it’s kinda wild the era were living in now. Entering a time where there’s “too much” content was a childhood dream. I mean, people seem to forget that the time between the Star Wars episode 6 and 1 movies was over 10 years. I grew up seeing Empire Strikes Back when I was 6, falling in love with a franchise, and then not seeing anything new for it until I was fucking 16. A decade of simply imagining what a new Star Wars could even be.

I agree, there’s something to be said about having too much of a good thing now. But what’s worse, imo, is it’s painful to watch Studios ruin once great ideas with another shitty spin off or sequel instead of just trying something new. More franchises are being ruined, simply because there’s more bad movies in em now than there are good ones. I mean, Terminator 2 is one of the Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez Split shirt Apart from…,I will love this best movies ever made, but most would say the franchise isn’t that great now. And I wouldn’t fault them. At best it’s got arguably 2 amazing movies out of 6. Just pointing this out as the 4 franchises listed here may have a lot of content to watch, but having seen all of it, it’s arguably a pretty consistent experience with only a couple dips in quality. (With clear era differences in Bond, and DC being at its best with its Animated movies. Anything Filoni worked on in Star Wars, including the new live action series is arguably the best content they have. With standouts being the later seasons of Clone Wars, and all of Rebels imo, as both cover prequel and OG trilogy era content better than the movies.) These days, if you want to get into any of these, watch a few of em and see if you like them. Chances are if you do, it’s worth checking out more.
