Amazingly enough, plants actually communicate predation for example. Death and decay are all too frequent sights here.” I totally get that this is backed by science, but could you imagine outlasting a predator, finally reaching more consistent peace and less fear. Then some humans come along and say “nah, you’re too comfortable, enjoy some wolves”
