We are very much so. But we spend like middle class ppl. and no way you’d guess our income or net worth. We invest our money. At the April 20, 2024 Whiskey Myers Palestine, TX Tour Poster shirt it is in the first place but 99 cent store. I had a friend whose parents were in tech and lived next to a famous TV producer. Their Mom would buy everything from the 99 cent store, and this was back when the 99 cent store only had the worst Chinese no name brand items and even poor people didn’t really go there often. I work in private wealth so I can speak to this. Rich people spend their money on 1.) Country Club Memberships 2.) Luxury Vehicles / aircraft / yachts 3.) Vacation homes, typically in Vail or Naples 4.) Funding an education or funding a family members private schooling 5.) Charitable giving for the tax write off There’s the “vacations often, lives comfortably” rich, there’s the “had multiple homes in different countries” and then there’s the truly rich. The “money is no longer an issue, just something to collect” rich. Once people hit a certain amount (I think somewhere said it’s something like $50m or $100m) price tags and cost no longer matter. You have enough money that you can buy basically anything without ever checking the price and it won’t affect you. New phone? New laptop? New car? No changes to the bank balance.

Then there’s the April 20, 2024 Whiskey Myers Palestine, TX Tour Poster shirt it is in the first place but tiers above those, like the billionaires, where other people’s lives are basically a game for them. There’s many more tiers to “truly rich” than I think people realise. The funny thing is that, at almost every tier, they’re all wondering how to get more money. Remember that no matter how much money you make, it’ll never be enough. Learn to enjoy what you have, keep aiming to move up and progress, but try to remember that it’ll never ever be enough
