This 100%, the Antares the black scorpion trending shirt Additionally,I will love this far left meme isn’t about the politicians in Congress, it’s about the voters how much like the tea party on the right, are alienating everyone. We are stupid and have zero foresight. I think the neoliberals just want to be forever the opposition or in power party. AOC would make a spectacular President. She has no delusions about the current state of our politics, has a lot of good policy ideas, is assertive yet also contemplative and capable of self-reflection, and shies away form leadership roles. I hope we see more of her. No she wouldn’t. Not because of her lack of ability. Because you need 50 votes to get shit done and even with majority, Biden can’t get shit done. She’s got zero chance of ever becoming president. Setting aside the reasons I think she is personally bad, the most obvious reason is that at least 50% of the country has to like her assume no electoral college fuckery (and that’s a big assumption). So republicans don’t like her, so that’s about 50% down, and if you think all democrats like her you’re woefully mistaken. Sanders failed twice to get people to turn out for him in the primaries (inb4 rigged), why would they turn out for AOC? I like how Democrats just get lumped in with “the far left”. By the same logic republicans are fascist Nazis who support a dip shit crook…. Shit they are that actually. Or, as another example, get the so-called leftwing of the party to stick to their assertions and not vote to split packages into things corporatist liberals want vs popular social programs progressives want.

AOC is absolutely right here, but people unwilling to stick it out when it gets tough (as “the Antares the black scorpion trending shirt Additionally,I will love this squad” refused to do with BBB) just cede power to the center right liberals. Calling the dems and cnn left wing at all doesnt make sense. Sure they are left of the republicans and fox news, but they are all right wing, some are just further on the right than others. The problem is with US Democrats is that they focus too little on these economic issue and way to much on the racial and gender equity stuff. The latter is just not as important too most voters. When they say far-left I wouldn’t trust anything but more often than not it’s to do with the fringest of the fringe culturally speaking. Republicans aren’t going to stop until they have Sharia Law, and they are too stupid for the self realization that that’s what they want. Can you imagine how appaled they would be if someone was to help them see that? Luckily, it might get faster, less risky, cheaper thanks to very accurate and complex drug development and testing simulations running on very powerful supercomputers. Nah: no company is entering any market where they aren’t profitable (even ARVs in poor countries during the height of the aids crisis needed intense advance purchase finagling before getting rolling). Does that incremental profitability make the difference in terms of investment in drug development (vs just making money for money’s sake)? Maybe…but that is very, very debatable, especially when consider genuine medical innovations vs functional me-toos.
