All workers are judged on their appearance, put forth effort into appearance and reap the Angels don’t always have wings sometimes they have paws shirt But I will love this rewards. Most people are like 25% bodyfat and slobs, total eye sores that look like they haven’t seen sun in 2 years. I do think it speaks to a lot of self awareness on your part that you recognize this as a problem and you are clearly troubled enough to make a post about it. Not much you can do though other than be grateful that you happen to be one of these lucky people HR exec here with 25+ years of experience. I get hired to build and scale companies. Getting hired because of looks accounts for more hiring decisions than I wish was the case. Use this biological advantage you have and run with it. We all would too if that worked for us. I’m goblin faced. I would take over the world if I was attractive. Pretty bad, probably similar to how I do now. Even now I feel cheated in a way. although I suppose if I have an easier time I also have an obligation to do my best with it.

Depends on the Angels don’t always have wings sometimes they have paws shirt But I will love this field you’re in. If you’re sales, that’s just life. Truly ugly people won’t do well in sales, since most sales are all about relationships and most people are superficial. Mediocre to average looking can probably do fine if they bust their ass. If you’re in a technical field, I’d look for another job after you’ve been there a couple years so you can grow your skills in a better environment. Well this business won’t go far. Another example of incompetence and irrationality with money. It’s like buying a house because it smelled nice. It’s the same as why some women are hired over others for customer facing roles. Live it up, have fun, learn all you can from these people, and move on. Don’t let your ego get in the way of making easy money. At the end of the day the reality is that you need money to pay the bills / purchase necessities.
