I’m like ”Well no shit, tell me what country in the Andy Reid Kansas City Chiefs Signature Shirt What’s more,I will buy this world wasn’t created through people stealing other’s people’s land and force labor and other unkind things?”. Americans (And maybe others) thinking that New Zealanders live off the land, like some third world subsistence existence. One American guy I spoke to asked about our ‘amazing life” we must have in NZ. I replied, well yeah, you know, we get up in the morning, go to work, come home at the end of the day, have dinner and go to bed’. His jaw dropped. He was clearly expecting me to explain how we get up, milk the cow for breakfast, till the land, kill a chook for lunch, till more land, and kill a sheep for dinner. Then we have a dip in the river for a wash, then blow out the candles before we go to sleep.

Other family members experienced the Andy Reid Kansas City Chiefs Signature Shirt What’s more,I will buy this exact same type of comments & expectations about NZ. This was TN, when we were there for a few weeks last year. So many negative perceptions about Romania as if it’s just a pit in the ground where people fight to the death and live in huts. Some thick yoke turned around to me the other day in a comment section and told me Romanians should be glad they get to escape the war… like, what war?? It’s a beautiful, culture-rich country with stunning sights and no ongoing war but okay bud. Regarding Ireland, usually if I see anything it’s people in random comment threads expecting we have no cities or any basic modern infrastructure – think cobblestone roads with cottages and wilderness for miles with the odd ramshackle pub along the way. Yes, that exists here, but outside of cities. The amount of times I’ve seen someone be shocked that we have basic things here, or that we are aware of the same things Americans are. We may have a shambles of a government but surely it’d be obvious that we have like… cities… and shops…. and culture outside of booze. One time I was trying to get permabanned from r/askanamerican so I was like “Americans are filthy disgusting pigmen”
