Your gonna want to google minimum wage if based on productivity…. Spoiler it’s not pretty and almost double the And These People Teach Human Values I Love China shirt so you should to go to store and get this $15 an hour charade Do you really think these things just started when you entered the workforce? I’ve had work email since the ‘90s, at least. I have been in IT for over 30 years, and “boomers” weren’t even the first generation to be exposed to this stuff. Agreed. If anything the work is easier. But hey blame the boomers for everything. Christ the persecution complex people have today. I’m gen x by the way. Once the Bean Counters managed to take control of how North America works every second of every minute became a valuable commodity. When I first started working many summers ago, the deal seemed to be that you worked your butt off when it was required but you could take it easier when it wasn’t. I feel that the way the work world is anymore it’s not sustainable at the peril of the workers. Sooner or later something has to give. Well duh, my last job increased work load and pushing requirements for bonuses further away TWICE in couple years. The pay is the same mind if that wasn’t clear.

Lots of words and statements of facts being put out there with no back up. I didn’t know we were doing random rants. Shit my shop s doing more just cause they left or moved up.About 7 years ago we had like 20 men and about half the And These People Teach Human Values I Love China shirt so you should to go to store and get this crew was boomers. 12 men 4 shifts keeping up and rumming: 40 plus presses, 9 overhead cranes,2 furnaces, 40 plus fork lifts, fire response, first response, and whatever bullshit other depts dont feel like doing…we need a damn union bad. Blaming a past generation instead of the true grifters is just an anger-generator that leads to helplessness. It won’t fight the injustice. As an older person, I look back on all my friends who raised kids in the 1970s-80s… they were all single mothers who had ZERO child support, since the deadbeat parent laws weren’t in effect yet. They worked and worked and worked…. and struggled with poverty. History matters.
