Although, even if they do charge for it now, I’m not sure artificially inflating the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this wait time will dissuade people from using fast passes. I assume it’s timed from when the card was given out to when it reaches the front, in order to update the estimate queue time ? I’m a former cast member. It’s called a FLIK card (Fabulous Line Information Keeper). They have an RFID chip in them and they are scanned at the ride entrance just before being handed out, then scanned again shortly before you board the ride to give the ride operators your wait approximate wait time. Unfortunately, a lot of people like to keep them as souvenirs or simply forget to hand them in when they are about to board. When you get in line for a ride, this card is given to the person standing last in line and then the cast member starts a timer. When the person that got the card reaches the front, the card is given to the cast member and the cast member stops the timer. The number on the timer is how long it took for the person to go from the back of the line to the front of the line; henceforth, this value will be known as Average Waiting Time (AWT).
Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt description
The AWT is then put into an app that “Premium Patrons” have access to (if you’re familiar with FastPasses this is kind of an evolution of that). On the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this app, you can see the AWT for all the rides (i.e. Space mountain has a 15 minute wait, while the Lilo and Stitch ride has a 2 hour wait.) A Premium Patron will look at their app and choose their rides based on their wait time. By passing the card back in line, you’re extending the perceived AWT for the Premium Patrons because the card is taking longer to reach the cast member with the timer. It’s kind of like putting something on a grocery conveyor belt and then just before it scans pushing it to the back of the belt. It should have only taken a couple seconds to scan, but it takes longer because you were being a funny guy.
Now by doing this, the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this Premium Patrons should be less inclined to visit the rides with longer AWT, but they’re only checking on the app. The app says that it’s 2 hours for Lilo and Stitch, but by looking at the actual line you would be able to see it’s only a 15 minute wait. Except, the app is free for everyone to use. The “premium patrons” as you call them are paying for the fast lane anyway so don’t care about the general line wait time. Yes. For a lot of people, going to amusement parks, especially the big ones like Disney and Universal, is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I happened to go to Universal (?) when the Harry Potter rides opened, and the wait was at minimum 3 hours the whole day. These are not like your local six flags or Dollyworld or even Busch Gardens really, these are giant parks with branded attractions with world-wide appeal. The rides have gigantic production value and are genuine one of a kind experiences. The AWT is then put into an app that “Premium Patrons” have access to (if you’re familiar with FastPasses this is kind of an evolution of that). On the app, you can see the AWT for all the rides (i.e. Space mountain has a 15 minute wait, while the Lilo and Stitch ride has a 2 hour wait.) A Premium Patron will look at their app and choose their rides based on their wait time.

there’s a sign board where everyone can see what the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this ride times are. The rides also have a timer by the name of the attractions. At least last time I went there. I know you didn’t necessarily hurt anyone but I feel like this is a perfect example of what’s wrong with people today. You were just a dick to be a dick. When I was a teen, I went to Disney land with my class. We were in line for a ride when I had to go pee, so a few of us backtracked out of the line, go to the bathroom, then head back to line. We were just going to cut back to where are friends were (shitty, ik) when the worker at the entrance handed us that lanyard. We didn’t want to be caught cutting so we just… left it on a barrel somewhere in line lol
Wow. That’s how they get the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this number to change the sign at the front of the line? I always figured they counted people entering the line and divided that by # of riders per run or something. They’re lying. It does not provide you with an accurate wait time. It provides those after you with an accurate wait time. Technically it provides you with an extremely accurate time, you just get that estimate as you get on the ride. Obviously a piece of plastic isn’t going to magically provide you with an accurate wait time. Like OP said in the title, it’s used to estimate the wait time, by measuring how long it takes them to reach the front. Which you apparently already figured out, so I’m not sure what you’re claiming they’re lying about.
It’s like Social Security. You benefit from other people holding the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this card, and other people benefit from you holding the card. The only difference is that with Social Security you pay then benefit, with this you benefit first then pay They should give you a fast pass through another ride that day for helping out with that. Doesn’t cost anything to for them.Probably something with an RFID tag that has the approximate time it was given to a guest then logged again when it reaches the workers, and the total time is the estimated wait. Got that once and forgot about it in my pocket and ended up bringing it home. If there’s a ride with an 8 year wait time, that’s my bad They can count how many people are in the line and how long it takes to process that number of clients for the ride. They can then use these metrics to estimate the wait time based on average time per person or rides worth of people are waiting. Add a buffer for families or groups who want to be seated together… Taking these data averages from a longer period allows them to have more accuracy in the estimates, and cameras feeding into software could allow them to know the line count… Giving an automated estimate that continuously updates, probably in units of 5 minutes.
Last time I went to disneyland I was handed one of these too. The ride then closed down while we were waiting in line and nobody came back to get it so I just… took it home. They scanned it before they handed it to you, and they will scan it when you get to the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this front of the line. That’s how the signs are updated with wait times. When I worked at Epcot, I’d send a bunch through with maybe five people in between. It gave someone an excuse to walk them down. I’ve gotten them at universal before, but they just give you like a paper card. Probably easier in case someone decides to pocket it or forgets I worked as a ride operator for 4 years, so I have some insight. The way we used to estimate queue times was this, if it reached X lampost we know that’s exactly 5min, 2nd lamp post is 10 and so on.
On super busy days, we usually have people queuing in the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this wrong direction, jumping handrails or simply queuing so far we had no idea how long it’s going to take. The way we help keep our times reasonable is to give someone at the start of the line a “queue card” and time how long it takes them to get to the station. I had that once but they took it from me when I was front of the queue (which was much longer than they said it would be) and then kept us waiting another 20 mins while the fast pass queue went through. And it was for the bloody winnie the pooh ride thar my wife made me go on I thought like with the roads, they could just use cameras to follow certain people in lines to change wait times. I didn’t know it was still a manual operation.
I’d be at home a week later rewashing the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this same washing for the second or third time and would hear this rattling around the machine. Wait times are now 160 plus hours. Sorry. They have a bunch of them hanging on the wall of Star Tours as you walk in. I have been given these multiple times. Every time I hand it to the cast member when you get your glasses they just kind of toss it aside. It’s not like there is a chip or tracker on it, so I don’t think they can really tell the wait time with them. Maybe it’s to make you feel more magical, or you did something shady and they now know who to keep an eye on in line. I got to use one of these at Disney World I think, except I think it was slightly more advanced, rather than just a card, it was a whole electronic device, I assume they scan before and after the line. This was like 10+ years ago. Amazon has put tracking chips in the lanyards they hand out at conventions, so maybe this lanyard is tracking the person through the line…
And ya’ll still forget to hand it to the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this last cast member because instead of wearing it, you put it in your pocket. Signed- a former cast member lol Long lines are a planned feature to help sell vip ride passes. They’re not necessarily trying to minimize wait times. We got one of those too on our visit there last June. (I had just been laid off from Disney [fuck you, Bob Iger] and wanted to capitalize on my free entry fee perk before it ran out 🙂 _ If you were the last in line, then why would they want you to give it to the person at the end of the line, wouldn’t that be the same person that gave it to you? Seems like you’d have to give it to the person at the front of the line if they’re trying to measure wait time?
Yeah that’s how I think of it. It’s ok for drinking to be fun and to like it, but it’ll kill ya eventually, probably from cancer as it’s a carcinogen that you are ingesting a lot of. Life’s hard. I think it’s harder long term with alcohol, so choose your hard. My mom is a CCRN and the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this amount of alcohol related deaths she’s seen is crazy. It’s not a fun way to go by any means. Supposedly, people who think of positives do better at making good habits and stopping bad ones. You’re gonna die…yeah I know, depressing, You’re going to feel so much better, be healthier, no hangovers, have money for better things, make friends with good people, do better at career, have better relationships… You have to stop, whether you want to or not, because one day your drinking is going to kill you. Join a program or something. Plenty of people going to AA don’t want to be there but are anyway.
I understand my addiction, I’ve tried so many avenues and still go back to it. I don’t know what to do, that’s why I’m asking. I don’t want to die young, or have this type of dependency. I just genuinely don’t know what the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this fuck to do anymore Well there’s one. One of my best friends kept drinking until he developed pancreatitis, and died from it. He was 38. It will kill you if you don’t stop. I still miss him. Funny guy big heart, and he was a quiet alchaholic. No one really knew how bad it got. Don’t be ashamed of relapsing. Nobody can ever say that recovering from an addiction is easy, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Just find a program and stick with it. Nobody there can judge you, because they’re in the same boat. Doing something with other people is always easier than trying to go it alone. Stick with a program, stop for as long as you can, be honest about how you’re doing, and don’t let relapsing stop you from trying again. Every day you don’t drink is a day of you not damaging yourself. I wish you the best, man.
I was in your boat. Naltrexone, prescribed online, really helped. Do some research, it really helped me put down the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this drink after one beer Just stop. Trust me. I did coke for years. Until I blew a hole through my septum and now forever I’ll never be able to breathe properly. Do you want kidney failure? To be overweight? Have heart problems? Have yellow eyes? If you don’t just stop, that’s your future. Trust me. I drank for a few years. I went from 105 lbs to 150 in that time and I feel cripple. Drugs, alcohol, whatever it is. Just stop. I promise you if I could do it, you can too. Don’t kill yourself slowly. It ain’t worth the lifetime of damage. Just stop when they’re drinking 12 beers a day is horrible advice. They could die from alcohol withdrawal. I know someone who drank similarly and ended up seeing things, delusional, some kind bystander called 911, and then in the hospital ripping out their IV and then with a “sitter” to protect them from themself until they had enough hospital care to be left alone… car got impounded, so ambulance, hospital bill, impound lot/tow fee, and nearly died, might have if that person had been afraid of them and bolted instead of calling 911. Oh and somewhere along the way they lost their phone (this part was before the complete delusions, they called me from a stranger’s phone, and are lucky they didn’t kill themself or someone else driving. Thankfully when they knew things were getting really fucked up in their head the stopped and got out … in the middle of the road… but still better than driving. Lost an expensive laptop, bits and stuff of electronics, 2 backpacks full of clothes and such that wasn’t that important, pricey work lunchbox/cooler (they were traveling when they had teh bright idea to quit cold turckey). Thought they lost their wallet too but it ended up being found in the car… the list goes on.
Honestly though if you are at 12 beers a day then I would educate yourself on what a death by liver failure looks like, that should help put some context around why people tell you to stop. The fucked up thing is, I know the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this risks. It started two years ago, I used to have a few beers a week but somehow slipped into day drinking, and now I keep a steady buzz all day. I wouldn’t say I get drunk very often but I’m always drinking. I’ve been in therapy before and it didn’t help, but I’m thinking I should try again. It’s terrible because I know I’m being self destructive but I don’t know how to stop You know the risk of liver failure, but do you know what liver failure looks like? What the process is and what happens to your body?
I know I sound really stupid, and I know what I need to do seems obvious. I just don’t know how to start again. It’s a cycle of feeling sorry for myself, giving up, getting motivated, failing and then giving up again. I’m not making any excuses for myself Read through this, because I want to be sure that you get both that symptoms and complications list and the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this section that says you cannot undo it without a transplant. Hard to hear but thank you for the source, my dad died at 65 because of cirrhosis and I really don’t want to follow. I just want to add that I’m not saying my addiction is okay or manageable, I just was hoping to find ways to quit that I haven’t already tried. I’m tired of being an addict.
Good luck, its a one day at a time type of thing, and remembering every day that one more drink could have you suffer the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this same early death as your dad. The son of a friend almost bled out when his esophagus ruptured. Luckily someone was with him and they called 911. He had so many issues going on. He was literally yellow due to liver damage and had a giant swollen gut. He was so, so sick. It sounds like you really might be ready to get sober but are scared about what that will mean. That’s really common. It’s hard to imagine what will fill the void that you fear will remain. Therapy and a formal treatment program can get you to the place where you experience sober life and, with luck, it will become more valuable to you than being able to drink. I hope you’ll try. There is so much help and support out there. And it’s really sure to do this alone so please reach out. I wish you all the luck in the world.
Man, i used to drink like that, too. I could finish a 12 pack easy. Take a nap in my hammock, and drink some more. Now I drink a 12 pack on a Saturday and spend all day Sunday wishing I was dead. I’m quitting, though, because I don’t want to die like that. I hope you can find the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this strength to quit as well. I’m going to tell you as an unknown friend. You WILL die. Nothing worked for me and I hated all the aa crap and stuff people were trying to tell me. I’m just over 30 and I’m literally going to die in a year if that. Look up ascites, liver failure, cirrhoses, jaundice and all the other fun complications like a hernia because your body is so full of excess fluid it can’t process. Never mind the fact ive gone completely brain numb not even drinking so much that day because my blood had so many toxins it my body had no idea what way was what and I just went basically into a walking coma from ammonia poisoning. It’s not a fun way to die…and it’s sad as fuck and now I drink because I know I’m fucked either way! They can’t even do surgery because just the anesthesia would kill me. Now I get to watch everyone around me feel bad for me and I can’t take anything back. My mom who is 80 literally started balling and said your not even going to make it past the holidays. Do you want that? It’s right there at the bottom of every can you drink. I wish I knew better before but hey, can’t happen to me right?
Edit: it was too late for me when I found out but there’s an injection like vivitrol that makes you sick as hell if you drink. Make the Anaheim Ducks John Gibson 500 Games Shirt What’s more,I will buy this commitment to yourself and go do it. Please Shit. I’m sorry, thank you for sharing. It’s putting a lot into perspective. I want to be around for years to come, I keep ignoring what it’s doing to me It’s fucked up man….I just got a house and a property and everything’s going great. Now I’m fucked for the decisions I made before and I’m embarrassed to even date someone knowing how screwed I am. Ask your doctor about that shot! I enjoy drinking to decompress but apparently that was a terrible mistake and you still have a chance! I really hope you the best and I do understand Bless you both, some people don’t understand its a disease. I applaud OP for putting him or herself out there, and also you for sharing your story.
