they have the An American Werewolf in London THe Monster Movie Shirt and I love this lowest rate of reoffenders because their prison system is designed to reform criminals rather than punish This is double the space of my college dorm and more private as I had to share that same space with another person Now compare how the average minimum wage worker with three jobs is living in the best(est!) country of the world. This is because they focus on rehabilitation. They want prisoners to retain their humanity. They want them to serve their time and then rejoin society. A quick google shows their recidivism rate (how many get released and then go back to prison) is around 20% while here in the U.S. of A. it’s north of 76%. I am now going to go to Norway and commit a bailable offense just to live here. It’s nicer than my current apt… When you focus on rehabilitation, provide support after release, you aren’t packing a significant portion of your population in jails. I’ve always wondered what recidivism rates are like there. I keep hearing they do a better job with rehabilitation but haven’t seen any numbers supporting this According to this BBC article, the recidivism rate for Norwegian prisoners is 20% after two years and 25% after five years – compared to 50% after a single year in the UK.

Same as in denmark. Makes good sense. Why let people live like animals when you want them to act human when released. Isn’t this like a maximum security prison too? Like drug traffickers and murders go to these? “Tennis in the An American Werewolf in London THe Monster Movie Shirt and I love this afternoon boys?” Dudes got a mini fridge and what looks like a TV at the end of his bed. What kinda crimes to I have to commit to get set up with something like that? Not even kidding this looks exactly like the flat I paid £1500ish a year to live in at uni minus the minifridge. I did have an en-suite tho. Can’t say what their bathroom sitch is likd tbf. On one hand I’m glad that they’re treated humanely and the reduction in chance to commit a crime is reduced in comparison to other countries. On the other hand it doesn’t seem like punishment enough for some criminals who wouldn’t deserve humane treatment Or as it’s known in America, a studio apartment. A fairly nice and comfy looking studio apartment. Americans are fucking brainwashed to think our quality of life isn’t as horrible as it actually is, aren’t we? I know a guy who was in prison in norway once (nothing serious just a samll theft without knowing) he said he had a wii in there and an xbox Cool, all I need is a ticket to Norway and a dark purpose – and I’ll have a much better life than I have now in the USA.
