You’ll be able to do a few nice trips a year and beef up your savings for the rest of your life Yeah holy fuck. It would solve literally 99% of my problems and give me the time and energy to address the other 1%. I can’t even imagine what that kind of relief would feel like. The thought of just, grabbing some extra stuff at the grocery store because it sounds good even if it’s not on the list, having enough clothes that fit and look decent that I can go more than two days without doing laundry, going out with some friends to a restaurant to sit down and eat without some sort of special occasion carefully budgeted in, fuck just NOT having the fucking pressure of everything dangling so goddamn precariously every moment of every goddamn day just seems like such a dream. Absolutely. I could pay off my mortgage which would lift a ton of weight off my shoulders and give me a lot more freedom ie allow me to work less if I wanted to. I’d also have a decent sum to boost my retirement investments a lot, which would also be a very nice peace of mind thing.
