Shelters, assistance programs, work programs, institutional care, one of the American by birth maga by choice eagle america flag shirt in contrast I will get this many homeless assistance networks, family, rehab, etc. No doubt TN will come up with some kind of prison farm system or detain them for use by famers and pay them a few cents after deducting costs for food and board . Good homeless people are a plague. I feel bad for them I really do but they need to go somewhere that has options for them. Somewhere they can afford to live and possibly integrate back into society. Umm. I. Uh. I’m not very good at mental gymnastics to underst…. Ya know, I’m good skipping Tennessee on my list of places to visit after all When I lived in Orange County there was a Walgreens 1/2 mile up the road that had been shut down for months. Any nearby homeless would camp there until the landowner would kick them out like once every couple weeks, then they’d come right back. The “point” is that we’re all fucking human beings, mammals, whatever the fuck and none us of us remember signing up for the part where we all sell our souls to a government of people for “greater good”. Our ONLY purpose in life is to live. Period. It. All. Comes. Down. To. Life. Remember that? What so we can use taxpayer dollars to house them in a federal facility? And even further their chances of being able to support themselves once they’re deemed unhireable as a felon? And allow me to make the joke that has been on everyone’s mind since reading the title + the subreddit: “Where are you supposed to go?” … Ahem… “To work”.

My neighbor used to be homeless and would go out of his way to get arrested just so ge could get 3 free meals a day and a warm place to sleep I honestly don’t know the answer to this. If you do nothing they just take over and are a worse problem. If you go this route there’s lots of other problems created. Maybe we should spend money as a nation, im not expecting local municipalities to solve the issue, and shelter these people along with giving care to those who are too mentally unwell to take care of themselves. But I’ve been told that’s communism by conservative Christians who don’t want their hard earned tax dollars to help those of us for whatever reason have wound up homeless. Some people will go to other states and be homeless there, thus causing those states/cities to foot the bill while the federal government continues to ignore people moving across state lines due to a housing/homelessness crisis
