They wanted to put me, an elementary student on probation. Insane to think how they do this. So they zip tie and arrest a 6 year old child of color… And we wonder why these babies grow up fearing and hating the police? She needed help, not an arrest. Was the tantrum over something dumb, yes, but she was a sleep deprived 6 year old, all tantrums of 6 year olds are over something dumb. Apparently the principal thought that a child kicking and screaming in the floor would magically calm down and be rational on the trip to the office. For what? What did that girl do? Attitude? And if so, that justifies PUTTING HER IN HANDCUFFS??? She’s a innocent child, not a damn criminal. In Maryland in 2020. A 5 year old who ran from his kindergarten class. Among other things the two officers tell his mother that she should beat him when they get home, it’s just awful. Why in the fucking world they would need to put handcuffs on 6 year old let alone need to arrest a 6 years old kid. Holy crap. Those cops are pure human garbage, but also whoever called them is as well. Why were police called? There’s no 6 year old girl that needs to be subdued by cops. Why would you put any child through this much psychological harm? For a fucking lesson?? You need to be taught a special lesson if you think any good outweighs this kind of bad. This was really hard to watch. If that was my child I would’ve went nuts. I thought there was more to the story. Not a six year old girl who had a tantrum. God bless her little heart. I know kids can be brats but at the end of the day, they’re children and we need to protect them Bet they would have charged her with resisting arrest in this scenario if they ended up having to come up with a charge. Ah fuck no. Police arrest my six year old I will find out who they are and torture their entire family. There is no possible reason in the world to handcuff a six year old and take her to a police car to be arrested.
