College in the Always 49ers faithful football legend T-Shirt in contrast I will get this US has become the single biggest scam in history. And the US government is supporting and subsidizing this scam. My husband made 120k last year…without a GED…driving a truck…in Ohio. It’s not a particularly ‘high-status’ job, but it sure pays well. Wages are higher across the board in the US, not just in the ‘professional industries’. American plumbers, baristas, mechanics and freaking tattoo artists all make more than their counterparts in the EU. Statistically immigrants have a better quality of life (even ilegal), than many Americans. And that’s astonishing given the overwhelming obstacles they are face Capitalism. Not like soft capitalism where you work 30 hours a week and get two months of vacation a year. I mean like, hard grind, non-stop, be-as-competitive-as-you-want-because-it’ll-pay-off capitalism. Because America doesn’t social safety nets. If You are disbarred as a lawyer, lose your license as a doctor, then your career is over. Yes doctors make a lot of money but the hours are crazy. It’s a stressful life all over and you will miss your children birthday or your spouses anniversary and everything in between. Cost of living is also extremely high in US. People tend to spend as much as they make. But they work and work is all you do. The term is actually “rich-slaves”. I personally would never ever chose that. I value life and family because you have only one. It’s a personal choice. But in the end everyone choose to die leaving a happy family behind. American life is misery at best. Which is strongly swept under the rug. It’s too good to be true.

Years ago I had a online business selling stuff. And America is simply the Always 49ers faithful football legend T-Shirt in contrast I will get this the biggest market, people there buy stuff more than any other country. When you buy stuff you generate more revenue more revenue more profits. It’s a cycle. So the country become wealthy and people get paid more. Red taping and horrendous public education put usually upper middle class professions well into the higher class. China is the opposite for example, good education is very widespread and being a surgeon is borderline shameful (so much competition salary/status is bad). In the US non surgical specialties such as anesthesiology earn well north of a million a year in private practice… You spelled it out….Professionals. Doctors don’t spend a decade in school and training to make $50,000 a year. Lawyers take 7 years in school to become one. Engineering can take 6 years for a Masters. Hard work, education, training and mentorship to become a professional takes a lot of time and effort. Your Starbucks Barista learned on the job in a few days how to make your coffee. The 40-year-old idiot at the fast-food place you stopped at to get breakfast still hasn’t learned. Umm this is not true when you consider CoL, debt, and insurance/healthcare. I’m pretty sure entry level engineers make more in Europe than the US, where they expect 14 years of experience. This literally sounds like a capitalist wet dream of a comment Nah this is very true. Google for example pays its French counterparts just half of what an entry level US based SWE would make.
