It’s a good problem to have, just not on Drag Race. Disagree. Her brought from home looks were great. Constructed looks were meh. Mostly she looks awkward up on stage like she doesn’t know how to carry herself yet. I thought her brought from home looks weren’t that nice. The Ass the world turns look was the best she’d ever looked, but the Roscoe’s video reveals it was a borrowed look from Kasha. Not every queen has to bring it to the runway every single time, but even then, Darienne has had great runways so far this season. Her famous forever and legen-dairy looks were beautiful. Her net gala was campy and well executed. Her fruity and ass looks were so far outside of what I ever thought we’d see Darienne ever wear on the show and her body looked great in both of them. And her Billie look was pure camp. Yes!! I thought Darienne had some amazing looks so far that are super elevated from what she served on Season 6, where she wore a lot of things you might see some office Secretary wear. She’s really elevated her looks. It’s not high fashion, but that’s not what she does and not what people expect out of her. But the stuff she’s put together has been amazing. The Net Gala one was amazing!

Darienne waited 10 years before coming back and unfortunately, fell victim to the All you need is love and a dog palms tree vintage sunset T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this hype similar to Ongina. We KNOW Darienne is extremely talented and FUNNY. I just think she missed her mark in the setup of the challenges + production. The first challenge even had confessionals saying when you do choreo as a team, you have to make sure EVERYONE can keep up. It’s a team challenge. That was not the case. Sure, it’s a competition but the other team knew to keep choreo simple (and even then, Jaymes was beating to her own drum). Also…I mean…theres a HUGE fanbase for Kandy and LaLa and production knows….but top placement for the design challenge? All 3 of their looks were garbage. The closer look I get to Kandy’s in untucked, the more annoyed I get at making Darienne an early out. This is how production loses out on early drag race queens who MADE the show…they show they can’t compete with newer queens with production shenanigans. And I still think LaLa landed bottom placement in the SNL parody skit over Kahanna.
